Education
In 1986 he finishes his studies in “Onufri” secondary school (Elbasan) in painting. In 1987-1990 he studied in The University of Arts (Tirana) in monumental painting under the direction of prominent professors of Albanian art like: Hasan Nallbani, Sali Shijaku, Niko Progori and Gazmend Leka. For politic reasons he was looked for by the communist regime of the time, so he was determined to leave his final year studies leaving towards Greece.
Biography
The artist was born on the 17th of March 1969. In a very small age his talent in painting was noticeable. While finishing in primary school he started secondary in “Onufri” where he studied painting, as he did so in university as well in the University of Arts of Tirana (Albania), were he continued his course in the profile of monumental painting. Constrained to leave Albania in 1990, he emigrates in Greece, where he starts his career as an artist in painting sculpting and mosaic. Gezim also becomes known as a professor were, with his knowledge, he taught generations in “The School of Arts Grama”, drawing seedlings for university. Forced to leave Greece he emigrates to The United Kingdom (UK) where he worked as a renovator in Greek Orthodox churches. After 8years staying in London he worked in different companies in the profile of marble carving, and different motives. One of his greatest successes was the opening of his own company called “Orbit Marble & Granit”, where with his professionalism; he managed to fulfill different requirements for different clients. At this time the artist also started one of his biggest projects of the Russian “Roman Abramovich” with natural stones, a project which hasn’t finished yet and is being worked on today. Coming to his birthplace a town called Librazhd in Albania, found him working with natural stones that he found on the banks of the river in the area. Creating different pieces of work like sculptures, complementary, monumental, and different motives ect. During this time, to support his art work which is growing, and to generate employment in Librazhd, the artist created his own company “Stone Slave” which is specialized only in carving natural stone.
Work experience
Since 2008- ongoing he had been working in his profession as an artist in his home town Librazhd as so in mosaic, sculpture, painting and stone carving. Still in 2008 he creates a company called “STONESLAVE” were he also directs its work which also cooperates today.
In 2005 he creates a company called “ORBIT MARBLE & GRANIT” located in London
-England where he directed his work there until 2008.
In 2004-2005 he has worked aside “ORIGINAL MARBLE & GRANIT “co. London
In 2002-2003 he has worked aside “Magnificent Marble & Granit” co. London
In 2000-2002 he has worked aside “OPTION MARBLE & GRANIT” co. London
During these years he has also worked by doing restorations for the Greek Orthodox Church, London
In 1998-2000 he has worked in Lithos
In 1994-1998 he has put his profession to work as a professor aside “Grames” in the specialty of sculpture and architecture.
In 1990-1994 he has worked with paintings, sculpture and different motives carved in marble.
